Join thousands of people as The Big Quiet takes over Madison Square Garden (1879) for a morning mass meditation, sound + gong bath and in-the-round performances -- all going down on the arena floor. This will be the first mass meditation in MSG history.

Join Abby Paloma and Sara Auster for a rejuvenating mini retreat. Take the time and space to access deep levels of active relaxation through Restorative Yoga, Sound Therapy and Auricular therapy. The combination of these practices lead to a state of receptivity in which all levels of the body can open to healing.

As students find their mats, Abby with apply ear seeds to each student. Ear seeds are applied over powerful acupuncture points in the ear to promote relaxation, ease and well being. We will begin with a short asana sequence accessible to all levels. Then, Abby will set you up with supporting props in a renewing sequence of Restorative Yoga poses coupled with guided Pranayama. While resting in the supported postures, Sara Auster, will guide you through a sound bath meditation with her singing bowls, tuning forks and magic. We will collectively create a space for stillness and renewal.

House with Heart (formerly Ghar Sita Mutu) is a charity that provides a home for abandoned children, an education center for impoverished women and children, and an outreach program for needy families in Kathmandu, Nepal.

This non-profit NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) was founded by Beverly Bronson in 2001, when she found two children, Krishna and Babu aged five and two, huddled in front of a tin hut after being abandoned by their mother.

Since that time, House with Heart (HwH) has built a facility that houses the children’s home and education center, and continues to expand its outreach every year under the leadership of Beverly who serves as president and CEO of the organization.

On Sunday March 19thThe Big Quiet is taking over One World Observatory at the top of the World Trade Center -- the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere.

In collaboration with Kit and Ace, 1100 people will share a mass meditation and sound experience set to one of the most breathtaking backdrops in the world. The evening will feature an intergroup prologue, string musicians, powerful vocalists and live DJs. This BQ will acknowledge the Foundation for Ethnic Understanding and support their mission to reduce tensions among diverse racial and ethnic communities.

Your ticket includes a meditation cushion (yours to keep after the event) and a sweetgreen dinner salad. A simple technique will be shared for first time meditators.

Quiet Mornings at MoMA

Start your day quietly at The Museum of Modern Art, on February 1st. See your favorite works from MoMA’s collection and select special exhibitions, all without the crowds. For these specially priced early hours,  visitors are encouraged to take time to look slowly, clear your head, silence your phones, and get inspiration for the day and week ahead. Enjoy the serenity of being surrounded by Claude Monet’s monumental Water Lilies, find space for personal reflection in the minimalist canvases of Agnes Martin, or see the sublime in the colors of Mark Rothko—to name just a few of the works you’ll get to experience during this intimate event.

A drop-in meditation space will be provided, with guided meditation sessions closing out the morning from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m.

Admission: adults $12, seniors $10, full-time students with current ID $8, children (16 and under) free. Corporate Membership admission privileges apply. MoMA members enjoy free admission to this event and the ability to bring guests for just $5.

A limited number of tickets are available in advance online. Additional tickets will be sold at the Museum on the morning of the event, on a first-come, first-served basis.
